You can delete the application there but there is no way to prevent the push from happening on a continuing basis. Just make sure you click 'remind me later' all the time. How long this app will be pushed? I dont know, possibly until you give in and let the upgrade assistant run.
I would suggest it likely that the 'remind me later' may disappear as an option and you will have no choice. I have an issue with the upgrade r app as it kills my internet. Needless to say the issue is not recognised by MS. MS need to take on board all these individual PC issues and address them if they want one OS for all.
